Resolve to Know More About the Disease of Infertility

Infertility is a disease that affects about 1 in every 8 couples. chances are that you know more than one couple who have experienced infertility. Infertility is a disease that is rarely covered by insurance. This leaves couples forced to pay tens of thousands of dollars out of pocket for the chance of having a child. A few states have passed laws requiring insurance coverage for infertility, but so many loop holes exist that companies can easily get around providing coverage. Many people assume that infertlity is a disease for older women, which is not the case. Infertility affects women and men of varying ages, in fact, infertility affects men and women equally. About 40% of infertility cases are female factor, 40% are male factor, and the remaining 20% are unexplained or multifactor. Infertility is a disease that can even affect couples with children. Many people assume that if a couple already has children, then they aren't infertile, but secondary infertility is a real disease affecting nearly 12% of US women and accounts for more than half of all infertility cases.
